Human Ecology Research
This week is occurring in conjunction with a meeting of an emerging international Human Ecology Research Group (IHERG) which is a developing research initiative of the CIHR-funded research project “Reducing Mental Health Disparities” with immigrant and aboriginal women. Initiated by Dr Lewis Williams, the IHERG is exploring the application of human ecology approach to health and social justice issues with various populations including indigenous, migrant and refugee populations. This meeting (funded by CIHR) will be bringing a small number of international human ecologists together, who with local researchers and practitioners will contribute to the human ecology education week.
